President's Address
Welcome Members,
It is my great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all of you as we begin this new academic year in the field of Law. As the President of this esteemed society, I am honoured to address you today and share my enthusiasm for the study of law.
Law is a fascinating discipline that plays a crucial role in shaping our society and ensuring justice for all. Throughout your journey in law school, you will gain a deep understanding of legal principles, develop critical thinking skills, and learn how to analyse complex legal issues.
This society aims to ensure that students make the most of their time at Canterbury Christchurch University, whilst providing the opportunities to connect with legal professionals. A healthy balance of work and play is one of our primary goals and one of my fundamental beliefs.
I would encourage everyone to take part in as many activities and special events such as the End of Year Festivities Party (circa. Dec 2023) and the Annual Law Dinner (circa. Jan 2024). Further details will be provided closer to the time and will be available on our Events page or the Law and Mooting Society found on the SU website.
I take great pride to ensure that the coming year provides you with as many opportunities for study, support, a boost of career prospects, competitions and the chance to relax and mingle at our socials.
